WHEAT GERM MUFFINS | |
1 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. wheat germ 1 egg, beaten slightly 1 c. milk 5 tbsp. cooking oil or melted butter Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add rest of ingredients, and mix lightly. There will be lumps. Spoon into greased muffin pans and bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Raisins, currants, dates, or chopped nuts may be added to the muffin mixture. Makes 12 muffins. |
