CABBAGE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 1 clove garlic, minced 1 can tomato soup, undiluted 1 med. onion, chopped 1 med. head cabbage 1 pkg. sliced Mozzarella cheese Brown the ground beef and drain off the fat. Put the meat in a casserole dish with the onion and garlic. Core the head of cabbage and cut it into chunks. Put the cabbage on top of the beef and pour the can of tomato soup over that. Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 2 hours, or until cabbage is softened and "settled down." Top with the slices of Mozzarella and return uncovered to the oven until the cheese melts. This can be prepared the day before and tastes great reheated. |
