GINGERBREAD BOYS 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. molasses
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vinegar
7 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
4 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening, add sugar and cream together thoroughly. Blend in molasses. Sift 2 1/2 cups flour with soda, spices and salt and stir into molasses mixture. Add vinegar and remaining 4 1/2 cups flour alternately with buttermilk.

Chill dough, then roll 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured pastry board. Dip gingerbread boy cutter in flour, each time before cutting. Place on baking sheet, bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
