CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Stir together all dry ingredients, in a separate bowl. Mix all moist ingredients; blend well. Gradually add dry ingredients to moist until cookie dough is thoroughly mixed. Drop from teaspoon (2" apart) onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
