PORTUGUESE SWEET ROLLS 
1/2 c. mashed potato
3/4 c. potato water from cooked potato, 105 degrees
2 pkgs. active dry yeast
1/3 c. sweetened condensed milk or milk
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. melted butter
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. grated orange peel
5 c. flour

Add yeast to potato water cooled to 105 degrees. Set aside for 5 minutes. Then add milk, sugar, butter, eggs, nutmeg, orange peel, and potato mixture. Then gradually add and mix 4 1/2 cups flour; spread remaining flour on board and knead dough in remaining flour; add enough flour to keep dough from being sticky, knead until smooth and satiny. Let rise in greased bowl until doubled. Place rounded dough on cookie sheet to rise. Makes 24.
