PORTUGUESE SOUP 
6 c. chicken stock or broth
1/2 - 1 lb. smoked kielbasa, diced
1 lb. boiling potatoes, peeled & diced
1 (5 1/2 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1/2 med. head cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
2 carrots, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced

Stir all ingredients together and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for two hours or until thickened.
