2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
8 c. flavored tortilla chips
4 c. (1 lb.) grated Cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Add tomato sauce and cook until hot. Layer in casserole as follows: 6 cups taco chips, 2 cups cheese, Sauce and meat, 2 cups taco chips, 2 cups cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Serves 8.
