CRANBERRY BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
Grated peel of 1 orange
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, beaten
1 c. fresh cranberries, chopped coarsely
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan. Blend dry ingredients. Mix in shortening, peel, juice and egg. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Bake in prepared pan for 45 minutes to an hour. Toothpick should come out clean.
