CANNED OKRA 
1 gallon sliced okra
1 gallon water
8 tbsp. vinegar
4 tbsp. salt

Bring water, vinegar and salt to rolling boil. Add okra and bring back to rolling boil. Boil 5 minutes. Put okra and liquid in hot, sterilized jars and seal with hot lids. (Okra should be drained, floured and deep fat fried or can be used in recipes such as gumbo.)
