1 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
3 c. flour

FROSTING:

2 egg whites
1/4 c. white corn syrup
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Food coloring

Cream together butter and sugar. Mix in egg yolks and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients and milk. Chill, roll 1/8" thick on floured surface and cut desired shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 6 to 10 minutes.

FROSTING: Beat egg whites until peaked. Add sugar, beat until dissolved and frosting stays in peaks. Add corn syrup beat 1 minute. Add food coloring as desired. Frost cookies when cool.
