SURPRISE BURGERS 
1 lb. ground chuck
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
Salt
Pepper
4 slices sharp cheese
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

Mix ground chuck and onion soup mix together. Form into 8 thin patties. Sprinkle to taste with salt and pepper. Lay cheese on 4 patties and cover with remaining patties. Pinch edges to enclose cheese. Brown on 1 side. Turn and cover with tomato sauce and simmer 8 to 10 minutes, basting occasionally. Serves 4.
