NO FAIL PIE CRUST | |
FOR TWO 9 INCH PIE SHELLS: (Or 1 top, 1 bottom) 4 c. SIFTED flour 2 tsp. salt 1 c. Wesson oil 1/2 c. milk Sift flour and salt together into a bowl. Do not use light salt-makes crust taste like soda crackers. In separate bowl mix together the oil and milk. Then pour the oil/milk mixture into flour bowl and mix gently until all dry ingredients are moist. Separate half of dough and roll between two sheets of wax paper to fit your pie pan. If you need to bake pie shell before filling bake at 450 for 10-12 minutes. Hint: When baking a pie watch that crust edges do not burn. Sometimes covering edge with foil is necessary after crust has turned golden. |
