DINNER - IN - A - CRUST | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 3/4 c. coarsely chopped onion 1/3 c. finely chopped celery 2 eggs 8 oz. tomato sauce 2 tbsp. salt 1 1/2 tbsp. dried oregano (leaf) 6 tomato slices 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. whole wheat bread crumbs 3 slices cheese, cut in half diagonally Unbaked pie shell Cook beef, onion, and celery in skillet on medium heat until meat is done. In medium size bowl, beat eggs and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and combine with meat mixture. Add crumbs and mix. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake in 400 degree oven for 25 minutes. Arrange cheese slices, spoke fashion, on top. Return to oven for a few minutes until cheese melts. Top with tomato slices and cut into 6 wedges. |
