EASY FRUIT COBBLER 
3 c. fruit with 1 c. sugar or canned fruit in syrup

Put 1 stick butter (1/2 cup) in deep dish and melt in oven at 350 degrees.

Mix batter: 1 c. self-rising flour 3/4 c. milk

Pour batter over melted butter. Do not stir. Place sugared fruit over batter. Do not stir. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Batter will rise and make a crust. Ice cream can be served also.
