CURRY OF BEEF - PAKISTAN 
1 tbsp. flour
1 1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 lb. lean round steak, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1/4 c. salad oil
2 c. sliced onion
1/2 minced clove of garlic
1 tsp. curry powder
1 cube beef bouillon
1 c. boiling water

Combine flour, salt, and pepper; roll meat in mixture. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in heavy skillet; brown meat well. Add remainder of oil, onions, and garlic; cook until onions are light brown. Add curry powder and water in which bouillon cube has been dissolved. Simmer, adding water as necessary, for about 1 hour. Yields 4 servings.

Serve on hot fluffy rice. Small dishes of salted peanuts, raisins, chutney, and shredded coconut may be passed as accompaniments.
