MEXICAN PECAN CANDY 
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup pecans

Blend sugar and milk; add baking soda. Boil mixture until brown. Cook slowly to soft ball stage (234-240°F on candy thermometer).

Remove from heat. Add vanilla and pecans; beat until creamy. Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper.

Makes 2 dozen pieces.
