ITALIAN SLICED COOKIES | |
1 stick butter 1 c. sugar 3 eggs 2 drop anise oil 2 1/4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and blend well. Add anise oil. Sift dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture. Dough will be soft. Spoon spread mixture into 2 loaves about 1/2 inch thick on greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool. Frost and slice into 1 inch slices. |
