BANANA BREAD | |
2 c. warm water 2 tbsp. honey 2 tbsp. active dry yeast 2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. oil 5 lg. ripe mashed bananas 1 c. chopped dates 1 c. chopped walnuts 6 c. whole wheat flour Mix water, honey and yeast together. When this is bubbling add salt, oil, and 3 cups of flour to make sponge. Let rise until double in size. Then add bananas, dates, walnuts, and 3 cups flour. Stir 10 minutes, then let rise until double in size. Form into loaves and put in bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 365 calories per serving. |
