SALMON CAKES 
1 lg. can salmon
2-3 eggs
1/2-1 c. milk
1 c. mashed potatoes
Salt to taste
Crackers
Butter

Put salmon in saucepan. Add beaten eggs then the milk, potatoes and salt. Add cracker crumbs so you can shape in cakes. Then roll in crumbs and fry in hot grease or butter.

I used measurements to make a well-formed fish cake just feeling the batter with my spoon. No milk and whipped mashies made perfect cakes.
The milk and eggs to salmon ratio is far too much and would turn the batter to soup. Then adding cracker crumbs to tighten it up again seems not to consider that the mashed potatoes & egg (1 or 2 max) alone would make a perfect patty.
