RUSSIAN TEACAKES | |
1 c. soft butter 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/4 c. sifted flour 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 to 1 c. finely chopped nuts Mix first 3 ingredients together thoroughly. Sift together flour and salt and stir in. Mix in nuts. Chill dough. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet (cookies do not spread). Bake until set, but not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar; cool. Roll in sugar again. Bake at 400 degrees 10-12 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen 1-inch cookies. |
