PICKLED NOODLES 
1 (16 oz.) box curly noodles
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1 tbsp. salt
2 1/2 cups cider (or distilled) vinegar
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 onion, finely chopped
1 unpeeled cucumber, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
pimentos and parsley (optional)

Cook pasta as on package, adding vegetable oil to water. Drain well and rinse with cold water. Drain again.

Meanwhile, heat sugar, pepper, mustard, salt, vinegar and garlic salt until sugar dissolves. Add onion, cucumber and garlic and pour over cooked, drained pasta.

Refrigerate and marinate at least 48 hours before serving.

I can't believe I actually found this recipe online! We use Rigatoni, but my grandmother has made this for years! We don't miss a holiday without it. There's NOTHING better than dressing and pickled noodles!
