3 jars sm. onions 1 sm. jar Cheez Whiz Thick White Sauce, recipe follows Drain onions for at least 1 hour. Make thick white sauce: 3 tablespoons butter, melted over medium heat. Blend in 4 tablespoons flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Blend in 1 cup milk. Cook quickly until thick and bubbles. Add jar of Cheez Whiz and blend well. Add onions. Pour into casserole dish. Either refrigerate overnight or bake next day bake uncovered until hot and bubbly - 250 degrees for 1-2 hours. |
