TEXAS ROAST 
2-3 lb. beef roast
1 env. dry onion soup mix
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 soup canful of 7-Up or Sprite

Put raw meat in pan (Dutch oven or crock pot). Sprinkle dry soup mix on meat. Whisk cream of mushroom soup and 7-Up together and pour over meat. Add desired vegetables (carrot sticks, potatoes quartered and onion quartered). Cover and roast at 325 degrees for 2-3 hours (or 7-8 hours on high in a crock pot). Makes a gravy to serve with vegetables.
