1 box yellow cake mix (your favorite)
1 (21 oz.) can apple pie filling (sugar-free works)
2 cups applesauce
1 (8 or 15 oz.) can crushed pineapple (depending on how sweet you want it)
1 pkg. pecans
1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter (Smart Balance with Omega works great)

Preheat oven to 300°F.

In 13x9-inch pan empty both apples and pineapple and mix well. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over fruit (do not mix!) Cover top with desired amount of pecans. Dot top with little dollops of butter.

Bake at 300°F for 1 hour. Less butter will work but top is more streusel looking. Let cool and spoon serve.
