EASY SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1/2 lb. ground beef or sausage
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 c. water
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. oregano
Pinch of pepper

Saute meat until cooked; drain off fat. Add onion and garlic, saute 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cover pan; simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes. Serves 4, makes 2 cups.

Thumbs up, I started with this recipe and then I did some addons of my own, when done I said no more jar sauce. This was very easy n simple n I was so impress with the result.

I was looking for a simple recipe to use up ingredients that I had lying around, and this one did the trick! I didn't have onions, so I omitted them, and I substituted V8 juice for 2/3 of the water, but otherwise I followed the recipe and it turned out AMAZING!! So healthy and delicious (even more so over spaghetti squash) - thanks for posting! :)

Great taste, didn't add the onion (Fiancee is allergic) and didn't have meat, but added 1/4 tsp. of white pepper, and a few hand fulls of Parmesan cheese, and it was amazing!
