SQUASH CASSEROLE 
6 medium yellow squash
1/4 c. chopped onions
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. toasted bread pieces plus additional for topping

Cook squash in small amount of water with onion, salt, pepper and butter. Cook about 25 minutes or until done. Add cheese, egg, milk and bread pieces. Put in buttered baking dish. Top with bread pieces.

Bake at 400°F for 20 to 30 minutes.
