BBQ SHORT RIBS 
3 lbs. short ribs
2 tbsp. fat
1 chopped onion
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 c. celery, sliced
2 tsp. salt

Melt fat in heavy skillet. Brown the short ribs with the onions in the hot fat. Add all remaining ingredients. Cover and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours or tender. Bake in a moderate 350 degree oven. One pound of chuck steak may be substituted for the short ribs.
