CATHY & DAD'S APPLE CRANBERRY CRISP | |
3 cups chopped apples (Macs or Granny Smiths are best) 2 cups raw cranberries 1 cup raisins (optional) 3/4 to 1 cup granulated sugar 3/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg lemon juice Preheat oven to 350°F°. Combine apples, cranberries, raisins (if using), sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in 8-inch square baking dish or 2 quart casserole; mix and wet with lemon juice. Set aside. TOPPING: 3/4 cups Quaker oats 1/2 cups brown sugar 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/3 to 1/2 cups chopped pecans 1/4 cups chopped walnuts 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted 1-2 tsp. bourbon Combine topping ingredients and mix until crumbly. Spread evenly over top of fruit and sugar layer. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top. Submitted by: Steve |
