CRAIG'S SWEET FRENCH TOAST | |
4 eggs 1 cup whole milk 1/2 cup sugar 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla extract dash of salt 8-10 1/2-1 inch thick slices of bread (stale or hardened) Beat eggs thoroughly. Mix in milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt. Whisk well. Place bread in single layer in a large baking dish. Pour liquid mixture over bread. Let sit for one hour turning bread every 15 minutes to ensure even soaking. Cook on medium-high pan or griddle approximately 3 minutes per side or until brown and slightly crisp.
