GREEN BEANS AND CORN 
1-2 lbs. green beans (pole or half-runners)
2 tbsp. olive oil or bacon grease
Sm. piece of ham
2-3 ears white corn (cut off cob)
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat oil and grease. Add washed, snapped beans. Turn beans continuously until bright green. Add enough hot water to barely cover beans. Add salt, pepper and chopped ham. Cook until beans are tender (40-45 minutes). Add corn and cook about 10 minutes.
