BAKED CUSTARD (DIABETIC) 
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
Few grains salt
1/8 tsp. vanilla
Sprinkle of nutmeg

Beat egg slightly. Stir in milk, salt and vanilla. If you wish, add 1/4 grain saccharine to flavor. Pour into a custard cup and sprinkle with nutmeg. Set in pan of hot water and bake in a moderate 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes.

Other flavors, such as almond, lemon, orange or maple may be used in place of vanilla.
