1 lb ground beef or chuck 4-5 cloves garlic, minced 1 large onion, chopped 1 small can jalapeno peppers, drained 1 box Kraft Mac n Cheese In a skillet, brown ground beef with onions, adding garlic when beef is half cooked. Break beef up in small chunks as it cooks. Drain. Add drained jalapenos (if using fresh jalapeno peppers, remove seeds and stems, chop and add at the beginning of cooking along with the onions). You can also substitute green/red bell peppers if this is a dish intended for kids. In a saucepan, cook Mac 'n Cheese following directions on package. Stir into pan of browned ground beef and mix well just before serving. Variation: For a Southwest flavor, add a good sprinkling of taco seasoning or Knorr Chipotle cube. 4-6 servings. |
