1 lb. pkg. Oreo cookies
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
12 oz. Cool Whip
1 c. nuts (optional)

Melt ice cream at room temperature until soft. Crush Oreo cookies. In large bowl stir all ingredients together. Pour into 9x13 container and spread evenly. Cover and return to freezer. Cut into squares to serve.
