CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks soft butter
1 c. cooking oil
3 c. sugar
6 lg. eggs
3 c. cake flour
8 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. real vanilla
Dash of salt
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Sprinkle 1/2 pecan pieces in bottom of greased and lined (wax paper) tube pan. Set aside. Cream butter and cream cheese; add sugar; cream cheese, eggs one at a time, beating after each one. Add flour and salt. Beat for 5-10 minutes. Add flavorings. Bake at 300 degrees. Test center of cake for doneness. Do not overbake.

SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. lemon juice
1 tbsp. butter (optional)
