CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
3 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 c. self-rising flour
Pinch of salt

Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and mix well. To the butter mixture add self-rising flour, one cup at a time. After blending, add the eggs to the mixture, one a a time, then add the vanilla and salt. Pour batter into a well-greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees, starting in a cold oven, for approximately 2 hours. Cover with confectioners sugar glaze, if desired.
