HOT CHEESY BISCUITS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 c. buttermilk

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and red pepper; cut in shortening and cheese until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk, stirring well. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen.
