CRISCO POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs, 1 at a time
1 tbsp. lemon flavoring
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sweet milk

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time. Add flavoring to milk. Add salt and baking powder to flour. Add a little flour and then a little milk, alternating until all is mixed well. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Do not open oven until done.

This cake is good to freeze and slice as you need it. Just wrap in tin foil and freeze.
