ORANGE FESTIVE COFFEE CAKE | |
1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 4 c. flour 1 c. dates 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/3 c. buttermilk 1 c. chopped nuts 1 c. coconut 2 tsp. orange rind Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs and beat until creamy. Add nuts, dates, orange rind and coconut. Sift flour, salt and soda alternating with milk. use well-greased and floured 10-inch angel food cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. While baking, prepare frosting. FROSTING: 1 c. orange juice 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. orange rind |
