PASTA STUFFED PEPPERS 
1/2 lb. sm. pasta (shells, elbows)
4 green peppers
2 slices bacon, diced
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 tsp. dried basil leaves
1 lb. hamburger
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Dash black pepper
Dash crushed pepper
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Cook pasta, cut tops off peppers and remove seeds. Steam peppers about 5 minutes. Fry onion with bacon until onion is transparent. Add ground beef, browning. Stir in basil, black and red pepper and tomato sauce. Drain pasta well and stir into meat mixture. Put peppers in flat, oiled baking dish and fill them with meat mix. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Spoon any extra filling around peppers when serving.
