MANDARIN ORANGE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 sm. cans mandarin oranges, well drained
1 c. finely chopped nuts

Sift dry ingredients together. Add remainder of ingredients. Beat for 3 minutes with mixer, pour into well greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Test.

TOPPING:

2 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. milk

Bring to a boil and pour over HOT cake. Prick cake with a fork before putting on topping so it will soak in evenly. (Dunk fork in water each time.) Sprinkle with chopped nuts and serve with whipped cream.
