MANDARIN ORANGE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 sm. cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift dry ingredients together. Add remaining ingredients. Beat for 3 minutes with mixer. Pour into greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes and test.

TOPPING:

2 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. milk

Bring to a boil brown sugar, butter and milk. Prick cake with a fork before putting on topping so it will soak in evenly. Dunk fork in water each time. Pour the hot mixture over hot cake. Sprinkle chopped nuts and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
