DARN GOOD CHILI 
2 lbs. coarse ground beef
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) can water
2 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. ground cumin
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained & rinsed

Brown ground meat, onion and green pepper in large kettle; add remaining ingredients except kidney beans. Cook covered for an hour; add kidney beans and heat through. Up to 2 cans of beans may be added. Increase cayenne and-or chili powder for hotter chili.
