2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs, beaten
4 c. diced apples
1/2 c. chopped nut meats (pecans or walnuts)
1/2 c. chopped dates
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda

Combine sugar, oil and eggs. Add apples, chopped nuts and chopped dates. In a separate bowl, sift together remaining ingredients and add to apple mixture. Pour into prepared bundt or tube pan and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
