APPLE SAUCE FRUIT CAKE 
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. Wesson oil
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 (16 1/2 oz.) can apple sauce
2 lb. red candied cherry, cut in half
1 c. pecans, broken
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
1 sm. can coconut (1 c.)

Dredge dates, nuts, cherries and coconut in half cup flour. Mix eggs, sugar, oil and beat 2 minutes (with mixer). Sift spices with flour together. Add a little flour and a little applesauce, alternately. Stir in fruit, nuts and coconut, that has been dredged in flour. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours.
