CHICKEN CORDON BLUE | |
6 chicken breasts (skinned and boned) 6 slices Swiss cheese 6 slices deli ham 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. paprika 6 tbsp. butter or Crisco 1/2 c. dry white wine 1 cube chicken bouillon 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 c. whipping cream Flatten chicken breast. Place 1 slice cheese and 1 slice ham on each and roll. Close with toothpick. Roll in flour and paprika. Cook until brown and tender (about 1/2 hour). Remove and add bouillon cube and wine. Have cornstarch and cream blended in cup and add to wine mixture. Stir until thick and smooth. Serve chicken with sauce over top. |
