CHUNKY OATMEAL COOKIES 
5 c. oatmeal (dry)
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. peanut butter
3/4 c. water
2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
4 c. assorted "chunks"

(Almond brickle, chocolate, butterscotch-flavored or vanilla milk chips; candy-coated chocolate candies; chopped dates or nuts; raisins.)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients except "chunks" in large bowl until well blended. Stir in chunks.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until cookies start to brown (do not overbake). Cool 1 minute; remove to wire rack. makes about 6 1/2 dozen cookies.
