| MIX - IN - BOWL MEATLOAF | |

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (lean) 2/3 c. soft bread crumbs 1 c. milk 2 slightly beaten eggs 1 tbsp. dried onions 1/2 tsp. sage 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 3 tbsp. brown sugar 1/4 c. catsup 1 tsp. prepared mustard 1/4 tsp. nutmeg Place first 8 ingredients in 2-quart bowl. Stir until well mixed. Shape into loaf. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over meat loaf. Bake in same bowl for 1 hour at 400 degrees. May be served in same bowl. | |

Wonderful recipe! I used 2 left over hotdogs rolls drenched in the milk, and then added bread crumb...just enough to make it easy to handle. Made it in a loaf pan, and my family loved it. The topping tastes like barbeque sauce.
