CHOCOLATE MACAROON CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg plus 1 yolk (save the white)
7 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. vanilla flavor
2 c. buttermilk

Mix together 2 1/2 cups flour, salt and baking soda. Add sugar, egg, cocoa, cooking oil, vanilla and milk and mix until smooth. For macaroon, mix 1 egg white, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 7 ounces coconut. Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Alternate batter and macaroon in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-30 minutes.
