DELUXE CHOCOLATE BARS 
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. Gold Medal all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. Gold Medal all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Chocolate Glaze

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 1/3 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Stir in 1 cup flour. Press in ungreased baking pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Bake 10 minutes.

Mix eggs, 1 cup brown sugar and the vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in chocolate chips and nuts; spread over baked layer. Bake until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool; drizzle with Chocolate Glaze. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 1/2 hours. Cut into bars, about 2 x 1 1/2 inches. 3 dozen cookies.

CHOCOLATE GLAZE:

Mix 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons cocoa, 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon butter and 2 tablespoons boiling water in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until thick and smooth; remove from heat. Beat in 1 cup powdered sugar until smooth.
