CREAM CHEESE FUDGE 
4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
4 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
16 pecan halves

Place chocolate in top of double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts. Combine cream cheese and sugar; beat until smooth. Add chocolate and vanilla, beating well. Stir in chopped pecans.

Press mixture into a lightly greased 8-inch square pan. Chill until firm and cut into squares. Top each square with a pecan half. Store in refrigerator. Yield: 16 squares.
